On or about Monday, December 13th, 2021, around 10:45 at night, a serious hit-and-run car accident between several vehicles and a pedestrian left a 57-year-old Michigan resident dead. Deputies from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the northbound side of U.S. Highway 75 in Denison, Texas.

Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 57-year-old Terry Carlson of Big Rapids, Michigan was killed when he was allegedly struck by multiple vehicles as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the northbound lanes of U.S. 75. Several of the vehicles that struck Carlson did not stay at the scene following the accident. Emergency responders pronounced Carlson dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the incident.

According to Google Maps, U.S. Highway 75 cuts north and south through the center of Denison, which is located roughly 75 miles north of downtown Dallas.

Investigators are still trying to find the other vehicles that left the scene.
