On or about Sunday, October 17th, 2021, around 1:18 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a disabled 18-wheeler sent a man and woman to the hospital. Representatives from the KSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 70 in Ellis County, Kansas.

Troopers from the Kansas Highway Patrol said 59-year-old Terry Fox and 62-year-old Robert Lee Fox were injured when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly struck a disabled tractor-trailer on the north shoulder of westbound I-70. Paramedics transported Terry and Robert Lee Fox to nearby Hays Medical Center with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Officials identified the driver of the disabled tractor-trailer as Melvin Aguilar-Rios, who was unhurt in the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 cuts east and west through Ellis County, which is about 180 miles northwest of Wichita.
