Details:
On or about Monday, March 14th, 2022, in the early morning hours, a hit-and-run accident between a red sports car and a pedestrian left a 46-year-old man dead. Representatives from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported in the 5600 block of West Gate Boulevard in Austin, Texas.
Investigators from the Austin Police Department said 46-year-old Terry Ziegler Jr. was killed when he was allegedly hit by a red sports car as he was walking alongside or tried to cross West Gate Boulevard. After the initial accident. Emergency responders rushed Zeigler to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries several days after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the south side of Austin.
Police are still looking for the driver and car that fled the scene.
