On or about Monday, September 27th, 2021, around 10:05 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a pickup truck claimed the life of a 31-year-old man. Spokespeople from the OSHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 71 in Pickaway, Ohio.
Law enforcement officials from the area said 31-year-old Thomas Donn was killed when the pickup truck he was driving allegedly struck the back of a dump truck that was turning, or had just completed a turn. After the initial collision, the dump truck rolled in the median of the roadway. Paramedics pronounced Donn dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 71 cuts through the northwest corner of Pickaway County, which is situated about 21 miles south of downtown Columbus.
Police are still working to pin down the circumstances surrounding the accident.
