Details:
On or about Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, around 12:39 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a McKinney, Texas teenager. Officials from the KSP said the accident was reported along Highway 14 in Harper, Kansas.
Police officers said 17-year-old Thomas Morgan Burel was killed when the Nissan Altima he was driving allegedly drove off the side of the road and overcorrected into the path of a tractor-trailer on Highway 14. Emergency responders pronounced Burel dead of his injuries at the scene of the collision.
According to Google Maps, Harper is about 50 miles southwest of Wichita.
Officials are still looking into the accident.
