On or about Saturday, July 31st, 2021, around 4:38 in the afternoon, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 34-year-old man. Officials from the SCHP said the accident was reported along South Granard Street in Cherokee County, South Carolina.

Deputies from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said 34-year-old Thomas Ross Jr was killed when the motorcycle he was on and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving along South Granard Street. Emergency responders rushed Ross to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated in Gaffney, which is located roughly 22 miles northeast of Spartanburg.

Police are still investigating the accident.
