Details:
On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, around 1:13 in the afternoon, an accident between a Kia passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent two adults and three children to the hospital. Deputies from the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of State Highway 16 at Samuel E. Diggs Road in Trenton, South Carolina.
Sources from the area said two adults and two children, ages 6 and 7 were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the passenger vehicle they were in at the intersection of State Highway 16 and Samuel E. Diggs Road. Paramedics transported two adults and two children in the passenger vehicle to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was also taken to the hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Trenton, which is about 19 miles north of downtown Augusta.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
