On or about Monday, December 27th, 2021, in the nighttime hours, an accident between an SUV and a pickup truck left three individuals injured. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 82 just outside the town of Ector in Ector County, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople from the area said three as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a Jeep SUV allegedly struck the back of a pickup truck, pushing the pickup truck off the side of the roadway where it rolled a short distance off the pavement. Two people in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries, while the driver of the SUV was treated for unspecified injuries at the scene.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Ector, which is situated about 74 miles north of downtown Dallas.
Police are still working to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
