On or about Sunday, January 16th, 2022, around 1:30 in the morning, a serious two-vehicle hit-and-run car accident sent three individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along East 6th Street near the exchange with the Interstate 35 service road in Austin, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople said three as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when two vehicles collided under unspecified circumstances. After the initial collision, one of the vehicles fled the scene. Emergency responders transported three victims to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near central Austin.
Police are still trying to track down the driver and vehicle that fled the scene of the crash.
