Details:
On or about Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, an accident between a dump truck and a car sent three individuals to the hospital. Officials from the KSP said the accident happened along Interstate 24 just outside Oak Grove in Christian County, Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police said three as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a dump truck that was towing a vehicle allegedly lost control and crashed through the barrier dividing east and westbound traffic. One of the truck’s axels broke free and struck a nearby car. Emergency responders transported two people from the dump truck, and a juvenile passenger in the car to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 24 runs east and west along the northern edge of Oak Grove, which sits on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
