Details:
Three people were injured in a collision involving three tractor-trailers on Sussex Highway, near Raceway Road in Delmar, DE. Delaware State Police state the accident occurred around 2:03 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
The Peterbilt was attempting to turn into a parking lot when its trailer was struck from behind by the Freightliner, which was hauling logs at the time. After the initial impact, the Freightliner collided with the Mack truck travelling in the left lane, at which point the logs were spilled across the highway.
The driver and passenger of the Peterbilt were injured in the crash, as was the driver of the Freightliner. Authorities report the Freightliner driver was cited for following too closely.
