On or about Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, around 2:13 in the afternoon, an accident between a school bus and two cars sent three individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the ISP said the accident happened at the intersection of State Route 37 and Forrest Baptist Church Road in Franklin County, Illinois.
Investigators from the area said a 75-year-old man driving a school bus allegedly failed to yield when it struck a car driven by a 20-year-old man. After the initial collision with the school bus, the car was pushed into another nearby vehicle driven by a 57-year-old man. All three drivers were treated for injuries following the crash.
Google Maps shows State Route 37 runs north and south, while Forrest Baptist Church Road runs east and west.
The driver of the school bus was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after the crash.
