On or about Monday, July 18th, 2021, around 8:39 in the morning, an accident between a bus and a vehicle left three students injured. Deputies from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Route 77 and West Main Street in Corfu, New York.

Officials indicated three as-of-yet unidentified children on a bus were injured when a school bus allegedly struck another vehicle at the intersection of West Main Street and Route 77. Three children were treated at the scene of the accident for unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement on the collision.

According to Google Maps, the intersection of Route 77 and West Main Street is situated in the center of Corfu, which is about 33 miles northwest of Buffalo.

Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
