On or about Tuesday, July 20th, 2021, around 5:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent three people to the hospital. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 54 at the intersection with Gateway North Boulevard in El Paso, Texas.
Texas DPS Troopers said three as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer and a car collided under unknown circumstances while driving down Highway 54. After the initial accident, the tractor-trailer burst into flames a short distance off the side of the roadway. Paramedics transported the truck driver and two people in the car to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Gateway North Boulevard and Highway 54 is a short distance north of downtown El Paso.
