Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 9th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between several cars and an 18-wheeler sent three people to the hospital. Officials from the ISP said the accident happened along Interstate 64 just outside East St. Louis, Illinois.
Officers said Angelina Lockhart, Kalisha Hudson, and Andrew Anderson were injured when a pickup truck allegedly crossed from the eastbound lanes and struck a westbound car. After the initial collision two other cars and an 18-wheeler crashed into the vehicles. Paramedics transported Hudson, Anderson and Lockhart to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
Interstate 64 cuts through East St. Louis along the northern edge, according to Google Maps.
Police hope to release more information in the coming days.
