Details:
On or about Friday, November 13th, 2020, an accident between six cars and a tractor-trailer sent two adults and a child to the hospital. Deputies from Harris County said the accident happened on Interstate 45 near the exit for Cypresswood Drive in Spring, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said two adults and a child were injured when a tractor-trailer and six other cars allegedly collided in a chain-reaction event. After the crash, two of the cars and a tractor-trailer wound up in a wooded patch just off the pavement. First responders airlifted one child from the scene, while two adults were taken by ground to be treated for their injuries.
Looking at the scene of the accident on Google Maps shows Interstate 45 is eight lanes wide, with a concrete barrier dividing north and southbound traffic. Spring sits about 25 miles north of downtown Houston.
Texas DPS and local police are still investigating.
