Details:
On or about Thursday, March 18th, 2021, around 11:30 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and alleged DUI dump truck driver left three people dead. Troopers from the KSP said the accident happened along State Highway 81 in McClean County, Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police representatives said three people were killed when a dump truck and an SUV collided while headed opposite directions. After the initial collision, the SUV struck a nearby car. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the SUV and two people in the car dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities have since charged the driver of the dump truck with DUI related offenses.
According to Google Maps, the accident happened a short distance from the Daviess County line.
State and local law enforcement agencies are investigating the accident.
