On or about Thursday, March 25th, 2021, around 1:51 in the afternoon, a chain-reaction accident with two 18-wheelers left three people dead. Investigators said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Interstate 20 just outside Flowers in Warren County, Mississippi.
Troopers from the Mississippi State Patrol said three people were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into the back of stopped traffic, causing a chain-reaction with an SUV, two pickup trucks, and another tractor-trailer. Two people died at the scene, while a third died after being taken to a nearby hospital.
The scene of the accident is a short distance outside Flowers, which is about 33 miles west of Jackson.
State and local law enforcement are still investigating.
