On or about Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, around 5:45 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers left three individuals dead. Investigators from the NHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 80 just outside Milford in Seward County, Nebraska.
Authorities from the Nebraska Highway Patrol said three as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly veered over the center line of I-80 and struck another 18-wheeler. After the initial impact, another truck swerved to avoid a collision and rolled into oncoming traffic. Paramedics pronounced three people dead of their injuries after the accident, but it is not immediately clear which vehicle or vehicles the victims were in at the time of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Milford, which is roughly 23 miles west of downtown Lincoln.
Police are still investigating the collision.
