On or about Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, around 10:00 in the morning, an accident between multiple tractor-trailers and several passenger vehicles left three individuals dead. Spokespeople from the FHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 95 in Volusia County, Florida.
Representatives from the Florida Highway Patrol said three as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when several tractor-trailers and several passenger vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident along I-95. Emergency responders pronounced three individuals dead after the accident. Authorities did not specify which vehicle two of the victims were in at the time of the accident, but noted one of the victims was in an SUV that was crushed between two tractor-trailers.
Officials indicated the accident may have been caused by extremely dense fog.
Police are still examining the cause of the accident.
