On or about Monday, September 20th, 2021, around 7:45 in the evening, an accident between a pickup truck towing a trailer and a tractor-trailer left a 39-year-old man dead. Authorities from the DPS said the accident was reported along Highway 77 just outside Sinton in San Patricio County, Texas
Deputies from the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office said 39-year-old Timetao Martinez Jr. was killed when the pickup towing a trailer he was driving allegedly crossed into the oncoming lanes of traffic when it struck a tractor-trailer. Paramedics pronounced Martinez dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident happened not far from Sinton, which is about 36 miles north of Corpus Christi.
Police are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
