On or about Wednesday, November 11th, 2020, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a car and an 18-wheeler sent a 34-year-old man to the hospital. State Troopers said the accident happened on Interstate 49 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Officers said 34-year-old Timothy Burrell was injured when his Pontiac Grand Am was allegedly struck from behind by a tractor-trailer. Emergency responders cut Burrell from the wreckage and transported him to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was reportedly unhurt.
Examining the area on Google Maps shows Interstate 49 is four lanes, with a wide, grassy median dividing north and southbound traffic. Natchitoches is located about 76 miles southeast of Shreveport.
