Details:
On or about Saturday, December 4th, 2021, around 2:17 in the morning, a major pedestrian vs car accident claimed the life of one individual. Officers from the APD said the accident was reported in the 4500 block of Menchaca Road in Austin, Texas.
Austin Police Department officials said Timothy Christopher Eller was killed when he was allegedly struck by a pickup truck while he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Menchaca Road. Paramedics pronounced Eller dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southwest side of Austin.
Police are still investigating the accident.
