On or about Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, around 2:00 in the morning, a serious hit-and-run accident with a tow truck driver left one man dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 290 in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said 33-year-old Timothy Perkins was killed when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle while he was attending to a tow on the side of the road near his tow truck. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Paramedics pronounced Perkins dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northwest side of Houston.
Officials are still looking for the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
