On or about Wednesday, October 28th, 2020, around 6:53 in the evening, an accident with a pickup truck left a 39-year-old cyclist dead. Police said the accident happened on Wellborn Road (FM 2154) in College Station, Texas.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers said 39-year-old Tobias Fiedler was killed when he was struck from behind by a southbound Ford F-350 pickup truck while riding his bike. Emergency responders pronounced Fiedler dead a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
Google Streetview shows Wellborn Road (FM 2154) is two lanes that run north and south into the heart of College Station, which is located about 106 miles east of Austin.
Texas DPS and Brazos County Deputies are investigating the accident.
