On or about Saturday, April 9th, 2022, around 6:15 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Highway 3 in Yazoo County, Mississippi.
Officials from the Mississippi State Police said 46-year-old Tommie Cagle III was killed when the pickup truck he was in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances along Highway 3. Emergency responders pronounced Cagle dead of his injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, Yazoo County is about 42 miles north of downtown Jackson.
Police are still working to pin down what happened in the crash.
