Details:
On or about Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, around 11:57 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a police patrol vehicle left a 43-year-old man dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market 346 in Cherokee County, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said 43-year-old Tony Boswell was killed when he was allegedly hit by a passing police patrol vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Farm to Market Road 346. Paramedics rushed Boswell to nearby UT Health Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, Cherokee County is about 128 miles southeast of downtown Dallas.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
