A tractor-trailer driver was injured and a hazmat cleanup required after a rollover accident on I-70 eastbound near Myersville, MD. Frederick County first responders say the crash occurred around 5:09 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
The driver was hauling an estimated 200 batteries for use in a solar panel array, nearly all of which were damaged in the accident. Cleanup crews from the Maryland Department of the Environment arrived to handle the disposal. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
