Details:
On or about Tuesday, June 7th, 2022, around 8:00 at night, a serious single-vehicle car accident left a 35-year-old man dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 839 in Rusk County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 35-year-old Travis Wood was killed when the vehicle he was driving allegedly veered off the side of the roadway and hit a tree a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders pronounced Wood dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Farm-to-Market Road 839 winds north and south into Rusk County.
Officials are still investigating.
