Details:
On or about Monday, February 28th, 2022, a serious accident between a log truck and a passenger vehicle left a 55-year-old Estill woman dead. Troopers from the SCHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Cypress Branch Road and Gillison Branch Road in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Authorities from the South Carolina Highway Patrol said 55-year-old Tressy Wooten was killed when a log truck allegedly ran a stop sign and struck Wooten’s vehicle in the intersection. Paramedics pronounced Wooten dead of her injuries a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Ridgeland is about 75 miles southwest of downtown Charleston.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
