Details:
On or about Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a garbage truck and a cyclist left a 19-year-old woman dead. Authorities from the CHP said the accident was reported along Hutchinson Drive in Davis, California.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol said 19-year-old Trisha Nicole Yasay was killed when she was allegedly hit by a garbage truck while riding her bike along Hutchinson Drive. Emergency responders rushed Yasay to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is at or near the intersection with Dairy Road.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
