On or about Friday, October 22nd, 2021, around 9:50 at night, an accident between a pickup truck and a heavy duty truck towing a trailer sent two people to the hospital. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Highway 69 in Angelina County, Texas.

Investigators said 25-year-old Tristan Alexander Tidwell and an as-of-yet unidentified individual were injured when the pickup truck Tidwell was driving allegedly struck the back of a Dodge 3500 towing as they were both westbound on Highway 69. Tidwell was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries, while a passenger in the Dodge suffered possible injuries.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 125 miles north of downtown Houston.

Authorities are still investigating.
