On or about Monday, March 7th, 2022, around 10:00 in the morning, a serious accident with between a bus and a dump truck sent twelve people to the hospital. Authorities from the NYPD said the accident was reported along Richmond Terrace not far from the intersection with Hamilton Avenue in Staten Island, New York.
Law enforcement representatives said eleven passengers and a bus driver were injured when the bus they were on allegedly collided with a double parked dump truck along Richmond Terrace. Paramedics transported the bus driver and eleven passengers to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity after the accident.
Police have since cited the driver of the dump truck for double parking in connection with the accident.
