On or about Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, around 3:20 in the afternoon, an accident between a drag race car and several spectators left two children dead, and sent several people to the hospital. Local law enforcement officials said the accident was reported at a planned racing event at the Kerrville-Kerr County Airport in Kerrville, Texas.

Police said two as-of-yet unidentified children, ages 6 and 8 were killed when a drag race car allegedly lost control and struck several parked cars and multiple spectators. Two children died of their injuries a short time after the accident, while one other child and two adults were rushed to area hospitals with unspecified injuries after the accident. Medical officials last reported two of the adult victims in critical condition.

According to Google Maps, Kerrville is situated about 65 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.

Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
