On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, around 4:45 in the afternoon, an accident between an SUV, a box truck, and a flatbed truck sent at least two people to the hospital. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported along Main Road in Mattituck, New York.
Deputies from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a flatbed truck, a box truck, and an SUV collided in a chain-reaction accident while driving down Main Road. Police said the collision between two of the vehicles appeared to be head-on. One victim was airlifted to the hospital, while the other was taken by ambulance. Officials did not indicate which vehicles the victims were in at the time of the accident.
