On or about Monday, January 11th, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle box truck accident sent two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 85 in Anderson, South Carolina.

Law enforcement spokespeople said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a box truck allegedly rolled after hitting a barrier just off the left side of the road. The driver and passenger in the box truck were taken from the scene to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

According to Google Streetview, Interstate 85 is six lanes in the area, with a barrier and a grassy median dividing north and southbound traffic.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene to aid in the investigation.
