Details:
On or about Monday, July 5th, 2021, around 2:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a van sent two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along South Palmyra Road in North Jackson, Ohio.
Authorities said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when the van they were in was allegedly hit by a box truck that was attempting to pass two scooter riders on South Palmyra Road. Paramedics transported the driver and passenger in the van to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity. The driver of the box truck was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, South Palmyra Road runs east and west just north of North Jackson, which is about 62 miles southeast of downtown Cleveland.
Police are still investigating the collision.
