On or about Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, around 1:00 in the afternoon, a major accident between a minivan and a box truck tire sent two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along the Cabin John Parkway in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Investigators from the Maryland State Police said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when the minivan they were in was allegedly struck by a box truck tire that had broken free of the truck and bounced over the center line of the Cabin John Parkway. Emergency responders transported two people from the minivan to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.

According to Google Maps, the John Cabin Parkway winds north and south through Montgomery County.
