On or about Thursday, June 16th, 2022, around 8:25 in the morning, a major two-vehicle car accident sent two individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Tulane Drive in Lufkin, Texas.
Local law enforcement personnel said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a passenger vehicle allegedly ran a red light and slammed into an SUV along Tulane Drive. Paramedics transported both drivers to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Loop 287.
Police are still investigating the accident.
