Details:
On or about Monday, December 14th, 2020, sometime before 3:00 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle delivery truck accident sent two people to the hospital. Police said the accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 17 near 19th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.
Law enforcement sources said two people were injured when the delivery truck they were in allegedly crashed off the side of an overpass on I-17. The delivery truck fell about 20 feet and landed on the street below. Paramedics transported both occupants to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Officials from the Arizona Department of Transportation closed the left and center lanes of the interstate in order to clear debris.
State and local law enforcement agencies assisted at the scene of the accident, which is still under investigation.
