On or about Monday, August 2nd, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a dump truck and a car sent two people to the hospital in critical condition. Officials from the DPS said the accident was reported along FM 2854 near the exchange with Leonidas Horton Road in Conroe, Texas.

Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said two as-of-yet unidentified men were injured when the car they were in was allegedly struck by a dump truck while attempting a U-turn. Paramedics transported the driver and passenger from the car to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.

According to Google Maps, the intersection of Leonidas Horton Road and FM 2854 is situated just west of Conroe, which is about 39 miles north of downtown Houston.
