Details:
On or about Wednesday, April 21st, 2021, around 4:00 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle dump truck accident sent two individuals to the hospital. Police said the accident happened along Old Stamford Road in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Authorities said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when the dump truck they were in allegedly struck an embankment and rolled off the side of the road. Emergency responders transported the driver and passenger in the dump truck to Norwalk Hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the crash.
Old Stamford Road runs north and south through New Canaan, which is a short distance northwest of downtown Norwalk.
Police are still investigating the accident.
