Details:
On or about Tuesday, August 31st, 2021, an accident between a dump truck and a car sent two individuals to the hospital. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along Route 80 near East Haven High School in East Haven, Connecticut.
Authorities said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a dump truck allegedly struck a car that may have been attempting a left turn. Emergency responders transported people from both vehicles to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, Route 80 runs east and west, with the scene of the accident a short distance east of downtown New Haven.
Police are still working to pin down the circumstances that may have led to the accident.
