On or about Friday, March 19th, 2021, around 9:30 in the morning, an accident between a car and a dump truck sent two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the OHP said the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 17 and Northeast Trail Road in Comanche County, Oklahoma.

Investigators said two people were injured when a dump truck allegedly struck a car that had turned onto Highway 17 from Trail Road. Paramedics transported both drivers to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the collision. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is just outside Elgin, which is about 71 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.

Multiple agencies responded to the accident to assist at the scene.
