On or about Monday, November 22nd, 2021, around 7:30 in the morning, a major accident between a dump truck and a house sent two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the White Horse Pike near the intersection with Antwerp Avenue in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey.

Law enforcement spokespeople said an as-of-yet unidentified 80-year-old man was injured when a dump truck allegedly swerved off the White Horse Pike in order to avoid a collision when it slammed into a private residence a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported an 80-year-old man in the house and the as-of-yet unidentified dump truck driver to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 114 miles south of downtown Newark.

Police are still looking at all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
