Two Injured in Flatbed Tow Truck Accident on Broadway in Fair Lawn

On or about Thursday, February 25th, 2021, around 10:15 in the morning, an accident between a car, a flatbed tow truck, and a garbage truck left two people injured. Troopers from the Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Broadway near Turnbridge Road in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Police said a flatbed tow truck allegedly swerved to avoid a vehicle that cut the truck off when it slammed into the back of a garbage truck. After the initial collision the tow truck spun into a nearby barrier, throwing debris into a car in the oncoming lanes. The driver of the tow truck and the driver of the car complained of minor injuries at the scene. Neither were transported to the hospital.

Google Maps shows the scene of the accident happened about 17 miles north of Newark.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
