On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, an accident between a flatbed tow truck and a Mercedes wagon sent two people to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Route 6 near the Eastham Rotary in Orleans, Massachusetts.

Law enforcement officials from the area said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a Mercedes wagon allegedly crossed over the center line of Route 6 and collided head-on with a flatbed tow truck in the oncoming lanes. Officials said the driver of the Mercedes may have been driving erratically in the moments before the accident. Paramedics transported the drivers of both vehicles to the hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.

According to Google Maps, Route 6 cuts north and south through Orleans, which is situated in the heel of Cape Cod.

Police are still working to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
