On or about Saturday, January 2nd, 2021, around 11:57 in the morning, a single-vehicle garbage truck accident sent two people to the hospital. Police said the accident happened in the 9600 block of Richardsville Road in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Officers said two people were injured when a garbage truck allegedly veered off the side of Richardsville Road and rolled in a small, wooded patch a short distance off the pavement. Emergency response personnel cut the occupants from the truck and treated them for unspecified injuries. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their initial report.

According to Google Maps, Richardsville Road cuts through a rural, residential area about 22 miles north of downtown Bowling Green.
