On or about Tuesday, November 10th, 2020, a single-vehicle tanker truck rollover accident sent two individuals to the hospital. Arkansas State Police said the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 49 in Chester, Arkansas.

Investigators said two people were injured when the tanker truck they were in allegedly veered out of the southbound lanes and rolled off the pavement. Both the driver and passenger were taken to a nearby hospital by paramedics. No other vehicles were reportedly involved.

Looking at Interstate 49 on Google Maps shows four lanes, with a wide, wooded median dividing north and southbound traffic. Chester is located about 28 miles northeast of Fort Smith.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene to aid in the cleanup and investigation.
