Details:
On or about Monday, December 6th, 2021, around 11:00 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV sent two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the NCHP said the accident was reported along State Highway 55 in Smith Chapel, North Carolina.
Police said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer hauling logs allegedly lost control and rolled onto an SUV on State Highway 55. Emergency responders transported two people in the SUV to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, State Highway 55 cuts east and west through Mount Olive.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
